Mahjong Solitaire Mahjong Titans layouts
Mahjong Titans layouts
Mahjong Titans came with Windows Vista and Windows 7, and it had six layouts: Turtle, Dragon, Cat, Fortress, Crab and Spider. All six names are here, free to play in your browser.
The game above is the Crab. Pick any of the others below and the board switches straight away. The Turtle, the layout Titans opened with, is the game on our home page.
Same game, our own boards
Mahjong Titans was Microsoft's version of Mahjong Solitaire, and the rules here are the same: 144 tiles, take away matching pairs, and a tile is only free when nothing is on top of it and its left or right side is open. Hints, undo and shuffle work much as they did in Titans.
The layouts carry the same names, but we drew the shapes ourselves, so they will not match the old ones tile for tile. This site has no connection to Microsoft. If you want the story of what happened to the original, it is in our post What happened to Mahjong Titans?
What is different here
- Every deal can be won. Boards are dealt backwards from an empty table, so a solution always exists. You can still get stuck by taking pairs in the wrong order, but never because the deal was impossible.
- Difficulty you can see. We played 200 test games on every layout and show how often each one was cleared.
- A daily deal that everyone gets, and your game is saved if you close the tab.
- No Windows needed. It runs in any browser, on a computer, tablet or phone.
Once you have played all six, there are 18 more on the all layouts page, from the gentle Butterfly to Stairs.
