Mahjong Solitaire About
About Play Mahjong Online
Mahjong Solitaire is a great way to spend ten quiet minutes. A lot of the places to play it online are full of pop-ups, sign-up walls and videos that start on their own. We wanted one that isn't.
What you get
- Six layouts built by hand: Turtle, Butterfly, Garden, Pyramid, Dragon and Fortress. Each one is a different shape, not a different colour.
- Boards that can always be won. Every deal is built backwards from an empty table, so a solution exists before your first move.
- Help when you want it: 5 hints, 3 shuffles and unlimited undo in every game.
- A daily deal that is the same for everyone, and stats that track your wins and best times.
- Six table designs and relaxing music. Your choices and your game in progress are saved on your device.
- Nothing to install. It works in any modern browser on a computer, tablet or phone.
Who makes it
Hi, I'm David. My mom was always playing the games that came with Microsoft Windows: Solitaire, Minesweeper, Mahjong and the rest. They were simple, they were free, and you could play a quick round whenever you had a few minutes.
Over the years most of those games either disappeared from Windows or came back full of ads, sign-ins and things to buy. I wanted to make versions that feel like the ones she played. They open straight away, they cost nothing and nobody asks you to make an account.
This site is one of a small group of free game sites I build to that standard. They are run by Lunar Interactive Arts Ltd, a small games company in London.
How it is paid for
By ads, and nothing else. There is no paid version, nothing to buy and no in-game currency. Ads load after the game is ready so they don't slow it down, and we don't use pop-up ads or ads that interrupt a game.
