Privacy policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This page explains what information Play Mahjong Online (play-mahjong-online.com) collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
The site is run by Lunar Interactive Arts Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 12044811. Our registered office is 102 Lady Margaret Road, Flat D, London, N19 5EX. For data protection law, Lunar Interactive Arts Ltd is the controller of any personal data collected through this site. You can contact us at [email protected].
1. What we collect
You don't need an account, a name or an email address to play. The information involved is:
- Game data on your device. Your layout, table design, settings, stats, best times and any game in progress are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device. We can't see them.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 and Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how the site is used overall: pages viewed, rough country, device type and the site that sent you. We don't use this to identify you.
- Advertising. Google AdSense shows the ads on this site and may use cookies or similar technology to measure and choose them.
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard request records, including IP addresses, for security and to stop abuse.
- Emails you send us. Used only to reply.
2. Cookies
Cookies on this site are either analytics cookies, which count visits, or advertising cookies set by Google and its partners. The game itself uses local storage, not cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics doesn't use cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The game still works, though you may lose saved settings and stats if you also clear site data.
3. Ads and personalisation
Google and other ad companies may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised Google ads at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of many other ad companies at aboutads.info.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to limit or object to how it is used, and to receive a copy. As we don't have accounts, we hold very little that identifies you. To use any of these rights, email [email protected].
If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to deal with your concern first.
If you live in California, you also have rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know what is collected and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted ads. We don't sell personal information for money.
5. Children
The game is suitable for all ages, but the site is not aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. How long we keep data
Analytics data is kept for the standard Google Analytics period. Game data stays on your device until you clear it. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with them.
7. Services we use
Google (Analytics and AdSense) and Cloudflare (hosting, delivery and analytics). Each has its own privacy policy.
8. Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
